Here you will learn what is cube function with definition, graph, domain and range.
Let’s begin –
Cube Function Definition and Formula
The function that associates a real number x to its cube i.e. \(x^3\) is called the cube function. Since \(x^3\) is defined for all x \(\in\) R. So, we defined the cube function with the formula f(x) = \(x^3\) as follows :
Definition : The function f : R \(\rightarrow\) R defined by f(x) = \(x^3\) is called the cube function.

Cube Function Graph
The sign of \(x^3\) is same as that of x and the values of \(x^3\) increase with the increase in x.
So, The graph of f(x) = \(x^3\) is shown below. Clearly, the graph is symmetrical in opposite quadrants.
Domain and Range :
Clearly, the domain of the square function is R and its range is also R.
Domain : R
Range : R
