Represent the situation algebraically and graphically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Solution<\/strong> : Let us denote the cost of 1 kg of apples by Rs x and cost of 1 kg of grapes by Rs y.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then the algebraic representation is given by the following equations :<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2x + y = 160 …..(1)<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4x + 2y = 300 ……(2)<\/p>\n\n\n\n To find the equivalent geometric representation, we will find two points for both equation.
